Along with highlighting the faces of the main characters, the video's first minute is dedicated to various signs of extraterrestrial contact, ranging from crop circles to a power outage that darkens the entire New York City skyline. A voiceover of a press conference by the American President confirms these seemingly unrelated events are all connected.

Though Apple TV had released a teaser back in June, this new trailer offers the first extended look at what is to come in Invasion, and the show clearly intends to live up to its name. Related: Foundation News & Updates: Everything We Know Firas Nassar will play Ahmed Malik, while Shiori Kutsuna, who was Yukio in Deadpool 2, is cast as Mitsuki. The Invasion cast announced so far includes Sam Neill ( Jurassic Park, Hunt for the Wilderpeople) as Sheriff John Bell Tyson, Shamier Anderson ( Wynonna Earp) as Trevante Ward, and Golshifteh Farahani ( Extraction) as Aneesha Malik.

The new series explores an alien invasion of Earth from a variety of perspectives, following characters from different backgrounds on multiple continents as they respond to the crisis. Invasion is set for a three-episode premiere on Apple TV+ on October 22, with the remaining seven episodes to release weekly. The upcoming science-fiction series was created and written by Simon Kinberg ( X-Men franchise) and David Weil and directed by Jakob Verbruggen ( The Alienist).
